July 8 - Went with Jenny to watch Mariners/Angels in Anaheim. We seem to have spent a third of the game looking for food, namely the elusive kettlecorn! Angels were embarrasingly beaten by one of the worst teams in the league. I laughed so hard.
July 10 - Saw Fantastic Four with my roommates. It's not nearly as mesmerizing as Batman, but I was expecting a fun, popcorn movie and it definitely delivered that. Seemed more like an introduction to a series so I'm expecting a sequel in the next few years.
July 13 - Watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith with my coworkers (at work). The movie was surprisingly funny and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Still was glad I didn't have to pay $10 to see it though cause it was a little predictable.
July 14 - Sedaqah worship night at my place. Always fun to have some good music and some good friends. Somehow also got roped into being in the skit for the church retreat. After worship night was our one and only rehearsal.
July 15 - Did absolutely nothing in the 3 hours I was at work. Made the excruciatingly long drive to San Diego and went to Comic Con. Traffic bit the big one. Made it in time for the Veronica Mars panel, which was hilarious. Got myself an autograph poster and some pics of the cast and stuff. Mean lady wouldn't let me take a pic with any of them even though other people did. Also picked up an extra (but not autographed) poster for Becca, which I'll mail to her later in the week. Browsed Comic Con some and then headed up to Irvine for the church retreat.
July 15 - 17: Barely made it to the retreat in time to grab some dinner. Was only half paying attention towards the end of the talk because I was a little nervous about the upcoming skit. Skit went really well, tons of laughs all around and many compliments from the other retreat attendees. Retreat passed quickly, filled with more talks, games and some great conversations. Got no more than 5 hours of sleep a night, but it was well worth it. Gender reconciliation isn't a topic that comes up often so it was awesome to hear lots of people's views on different issues.
